What happened?? March 27, 2008

I am getting really antsy. I have yet to watch the elimination episode of Big Brother and everyone around me has watched it. I am beginning to wonder if my predictions have come true or if my informants are making it seem like I was right??!! No matter I thought that I would quickly blow off some steam on my blog therefore saving the patience of my fellow BB watchers for another time when the show begins to upset me (ie. blame it all on James!).

Again, James Wins :( March 26, 2008

On Tuesday’s episode of Big Brother the winners, rather the losers, of the luxury competition got to see the screening of the new movie “21″. In addition to watching this, Chelsia was the winner of the trip Ryan lost to Vegas. She gets to stay in the suite where the cast stayed and had $5000 in chips to gamble away. At least she gets something out of the game because it is very highly likely that she will indeed be voted out tonight.

The way it went down: Evel Dick came back to the house, just as Natalie predicted, smashing pots and pans together to wake the house guests for the Veto competition. Ryan, Natalie, Shelia and HOH Adam all agreed that James could not win this veto and take himself off the block because he was the one they were after. The point of the game was to drink as many of Evel’s gross concoctions and for each drink you held down you won a ball to play croquet. Of course James was going to win this thing, his life was on the line. And in the end, he beat Adam by one point even though he had 2 more balls that Adam, therefore meaning, in my mind of course, that Adam was a better shot!!

James of course used the veto on himself but when he and Chelsia were together talking about the situation he kept on reassuring her that she was going home; that it wasn’t fair for him to use the veto on her because he had already been evicted once and talked to Julie, now it was Chelsia’s turn. Chelsia, in the diary room, concluded that her biggest mistake was voting James back in. Which is true, she let her heart control her decisions and it cost her big time. Now in replacement of James, Adam put up Sharon because she offered herself to him instead of Joshuah who has her wrapped around his finger. Weird how he’s never been nominated and keeps swinging deals that keep him on the down low, at least for now. I think Natalie is becoming aware of his game play, which is pretty awesome if you think about it, and he’ll probably be put up is she wins HOH. I cannot wait until tonight when Chelsia gets evicted and the new HOH takes control. I’m rooting for either Natalie or Ryan to win. Maybe if Josh wins he may stir things up now that he realizes that his “known” alliance is beginning to crumble. Who knows….??

 

Finally a new post!! March 24, 2008

So here’s a slight breakdown of what has happened over the past week of BB:

James, of course won HOH by making a deal with Natalie that she and Matt would be safe, but when he won the Veto and found out that Matt was the third vote to not let him back in and that Matt was lying about it, he took Shelia off the block and put Matt up in her place which caused some turmoil in the house. Most knew that Matt would be the one voted out but when it came down to it, the votes were tied 3-3. So in the end, James had the power the entire week he was HOH and achieved his vengeance against Matt when he booted him out. Natalie is out for blood now that her partner was back-doored, so things should get steamy!!

On Sunday’s episode, it was time for the luxury competition and house guests got to play in the Big Brother Casino. The point of the game was to make 21 using the names of players on the corresponding cards. Ryan won, of course and was offered the chance to gamble even further. He had the choice to just take his chosen house guests to the screening of the new movie “21″ or attempt to win a chance to go to Vegas along with viewing the movie. Ryan took the challenge and lost, so the other house guests who Ryan did not pick to see the movie with him get to see that movie: Chelsia, Shelia, Sharon and Joshuah.

Nominations were at the end of the episode and as HOH, Adam was toying with the idea to put up his former partner Shelia, but in the end went with the advice of his alliance and put up James and Chelsia because they are 2 very strong players. Which is true and that’s who I wanted him to put up, so everything is going as planned, so far. Of course James is pissed that he got nominated, but really what do you expect, the power went to your head last week James, you deserve to be nominated simply for playing the game that you are.

         

James’ Return March 19, 2008

Well upon James’ return to the Big Brother house, events began to shape up. The final part of the HOH competition was a doozy. Adam, Joshuah, Matt, Shelia, Sharon and Chelsia were eliminated in that order with only Natalie and James holding strong after over 3 hours dangling (which is when Chelsia dropped). Natalie talked throughout the competition and it appeared that James was going to go down, he wasn’t doing so well, although Natalie looked like she could go on forever. Two deals were brought up but only one was accepted. The first was made in the event that Natalie won: James would let her win only if she put up Ryan as one of the nominees, however beings as Ryan is part of her alliance, Matt and Ryan convinced her to turn the offer down. The offer that was accepted was only taken because Natalie was beginning to feel ill. In the end James won HOH but also agreed not to put up either Matt or Natalie for eviction.

This turned out to be a pretty big thing for Matty because he finally gave Natalie her massage and he couldn’t stop gushing that Natalie would go so far to save his ass. Now all he has to do is actually convince people that he wasn’t the third vote (Ryan, Shelia and himself) to bring the mystery guest back. If he accomplishes this, he may in fact be the reason Adam gets put up because then James will be believing that he was the third vote instead of Matt.

In the last veto competition, Joshuah won a letter from home. When he received the letter it was really sincere, we see him as being a terror in the house, but once he hears that he has support from back home we begin to see him as a person once again, not some angry gay man with a vengeance!! Oh do we love to hate him!!

In the end, James nominated Ryan and Shelia for eviction, which does not come as a surprise. But it makes me really wonder about his motives because he said that those 2 were nominated because they went against their word: well everyone who voted him out went against their word for him to stay, so why just pick on Ryan and Shelia. Makes me wonder!! Either way, James is letting revenge get to his head and this could really hurt him in the end. I began loving James, but now I’m not so sure. I have yet to watch Tuesday and Wednesday’s episodes but I am sure that they will be something to enjoy!!

America Votes March 14, 2008

It was revealed this episode who America voted to be put back into the house. Near the middle of the episode, Julie announced that Parker got the second most votes (unfortunately because that’s who I voted for), and that Alex was the winner. However, it was revealed that the house guests would decide who they wanted: the mystery house guest or the person they voted out.

When it came down to it, James was evicted with only Chelsia voting for him to stay. No one got up when he left except Chelsia, apparently upon his request, who walked him to the door and said goodbye. Once he was being interviewed, Julie let him in on what was going on. Then the siren blared again and the remaining house guests returned to the living room for a second announcement. It was hear that they learned that they could either bring the mystery person, Alex, or James back into the house. Each voted and with a 5-3 result, James jumped out of the mystery boxed they hid him in!! Chelsia looked so happy and I think James may be ready for some revenge.

At the end, all were playing for the HOH, except outgoing HOH Ryan. Each player stands on a gold platform and hangs on to a chain. They must stay standing through everything in order to win. I’m pretty sure that most of the players are going to try extra hard to win this thing as the house guests are beginning to turn on each other. Exciting stuff. Tune in on Sunday for the winner of HOH and nominations!! What’s going to happen…??

Ryan switches things up!! March 11, 2008

A slight recap from Sunday’s episode, number 12, reads like this: Most of the house is extremely happy that they are playing as individuals now. Adam thinks that he was pulling Shelia through the game, Matt can get rid of “Chatty Natty”, however, James feels like Chelsia will change and will leave him in the dark. He professes his strong feelings for her and they vow that they will protect each other in the game as far as they can. However, once this new alliance formed, “The Bros”, which consists of Matt, James, Adam and Ryan, the first thing James does is suggest Chelsia be put up simply to take the heat off him and her having a strong alliance between themselves.

From the get go, James did not feel that this was a true alliance because he didn’t want to confine himself to anyone or anything. This will turn out to be a bad play on his behalf. But getting back to the previous episode, Matt, Adam, Natalie and James win the food competition by spelling food words correctly after fishing them out of a gross liquid. In the end, Ryan takes the advice of his team and nominates Sharon and Chelsia.

 

 On Tuesday’s episode, the veto competition comes up only after some theories go around that Ryan should back door Matty. Joshuah becomes Ryan’s “bitch” and tells him everything that is said about the situation. The entire house, including James plans to grant Ryan 2 weeks safety if he’ll nominate Matt in place of one of the other nominees if the veto is used. Natalie is also in on this and ends up telling Matt everything, which he in turn tells Ryan. After Josh confronts Ryan with this offer things really heat up. Ryan is pondering this nomination as it will surely guarantee him safely for the 2 weeks, but after talking with Shelia he realizes that after that time is up he’ll surely be put on the block because the rest of the house is starting to align, including James, one of his alliance members.

In the end, Chelsia wins POV during a game of pool BB style. Most everyone in the house is thinking that the back door plan is coming into reality, maybe even Matt, but after Chelsia takes herself off, Ryan basically tells the house he knows what going on, sort of calling the people out and nominates James. What the..?? Weird I know, but he told Shelia that he could really stir things up and he surely did. So who will go home: James or Sharon. I’m rooting for James to stay because he’s a pretty cool guy and plays the game relatively well. He gets along with most everyone, unlike Sharon who seems like she could cause some major drama down the road, plus she’s annoying. We’ll see….

               

It’s Siren Time!! March 10, 2008

As I have yet to see episode 12 which aired last time I will comment on episode 11 which was on March 5th. This is when it all went down. James found out that Matt was telling both teams on the block that he and Natalie were going to vote for them to stay, and called him out. Wasn’t that big of a fight, nothing like when Chelsia and Joshuah went after Amanda, but still relatively entertaining.

 During the episode Julie Chen announced that the siren would go off as soon as the evicted couple was to leave the front door. With a unanimous vote, Allison and Ryan were voted out and as soon as Allison tried to leave, she realized the door was locked and the siren sounded. It was so funny because as soon as it went off she was jumping up and down, screaming with joy, thinking that her butt was saved this week. Well when the house guests congregated in the living room, Julie announced that the couples would be divided up and everyone would now be playing as individuals. Most were really excited, expect for Josh, Sharon and Natalie, which was weird but after thinking about it, Natalie will no longer have the connection to Matt that she wants, and Josh and Sharon (as out going HOH) will be separated and targeted for the next eviction.

 Another twist was that there was still going to be an eviction. This is where, I’m sure, Allison’s face went pale. Julie announced that Ryan and Allison were going up against each other and one of them would be leaving, instead of both. I knew, as well as everyone else I’m sure, that Allison was being voted out. And sure enough there was no question, everyone voted for her to leave. During her final interview, she was not impressed. More disappointed than anything though because she thought the siren would save her. In the end it did not and I’m glad that she’s out of the house. I will now be more encouraged to watch the episodes the night of!!

During the HOH competition, Ryan and Adam were the last 2 standing and it was a toss up as to who I wanted to win. It would have been interesting to see who Adam would have nominated, but in the end Ryan took the key and should have some revenge to play out when he makes his nominations. Which I have yet to see. Anyway, another announcement came for America to get involved and vote one of the evicted house guests back into the house. Ummm, who will it be. I’m thinking either Alex or Parker, most likely Parker because everyone loved him!! Including me!! Till next time…promise I will have watched this past Sunday’s episode!!

And the Veto is Finally Used!! March 5, 2008

On last night’s episode, number 10, the veto competition was held and Matt and Natalie won. The point of the game was to put together a puzzle (the veto symbol) while your partner was running back and forth getting you the pieces and thus suspending you above the ground in order to reach the puzzle back board. The entire time, Allison was yelling at Ryan to hurry up, which is okay because they, well she is anyway, are targeted this week. In the end, with one piece to go, Allison/Ryan lose to Matt and Natalie. Yeah!! I was so excited when they won, and everyone could tell that they were elated.

During the course of the episode, Allison and Josh continued to go at it, while Natalie wanted to get closer to Matt. This did not go so well because apparently Nat is not Matt’s type. After hiding from her for awhile, Matt finally confronted her and told her that he was only looking to be friends. Only wanting to be friends with Natalie while playing with Sharon’s emotions, so he thinks, by making out with her. Both, speaking in the diary room, said that if the other wants to play that way then what the heck, the other will play the same way.

Once Matt/Natalie used the veto on themselves, Josh/Sharon nominated Adam/Shelia in their place. It’s going to be interesting to see if Allison will convince the house to keep her and Ryan and evict the other team. But in the meantime, players will be waiting to hear a sire-type noise. Once this sound is played, which can be done at any time day or night, everyone must congregate in the living room to hear further instructions. Ooh what could it be?? I someone coming back into the house?? Is there going to be a double elimination?? Is there going to be a male/female that will turn partners against each other and turn the whole house upside down?? Nominations March 3, 2008

So on Sunday’s episode of Big Brother, Joshuah and Sharon made their nominations. Throughout the course of the show, it became clear that Ryan and Allison were definitely going up. Allison and Josh were not getting along at all and despite her best efforts to suck up to the HOH couple, Allison managed to get herself and Ryan put on the block. I think that Matt and Natalie were put up for the second time in a row, so that they had a fair chance of getting the veto and taking themselves off the block. Joshuah and Sharon’s reasoning behind their nominations was that it was in the best interest of the house to put up the 2 strongest teams.

                       

I personally believe that in order to ensure that Allison and Ryan were evicted, Josh and Allison should have “back-doored” them. This technique has worked in other seasons, thus securing the exit of someone most everyone hates: Allison. I guess lying about being a lesbian couple with Shelia did end up biting her in the butt as Allison is surely feeling the wrath of Joshuah now. I really hope that Matt and Natalie win the POV and take themselves off. When it’s time to vote to evict, it should come down to a tie so that Josh can shut the door on someone I didn’t like from the beginning. Please let that be the case!!!
